If History Were Taught In The Form Of Stories, It Would Never Be Forgotten. -Rudyard Kipling
History is not merely a reference point in time. It is a compilation of living breathing experiences passed from one generation to the another. History provides us with a sense of identity. By understanding stories of the past, we better understand who we are now.
Dramatic events, such as the assassination of a President, the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the Moon Walk, and 9-11, teach us what it means to be human. It provides us with a sense of context for our lives, helping us to pave the way for future generations. In an attempt to play some small role in the grander scheme of History, we have taken great care to share with you the history of the Magnolia Community through photos, records, maps & other valuable artifacts.
We thank you for your interest.
At the MAGNOLIA HISTORICAL SOCIETY, we are dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of our community. Through our exhibits, events, and educational programs, we strive to inspire a love of history in visitors of all ages.
